MUDRA foundation was established in 2010, in the city of Bhubaneswar, in the culturally rich state of Odisha. Masako Ono having learned Odissi since a very young age, has been living in India since 1996 and since 2001, Ono has been based at Bhubaneswar, India, as a professional Odissi dancer and yoga teacher, collaborating with dancers, musicians and artists from India and abroad.
Being a part of a culturally rich state, she and Manas Das founded the organisation to invite the interest of international artists to come to promote the local art and culture as well as share their own.
Being and initiative by artists, MUDRA foundation provides a platform to artists from different genres to contribute to the cause of several struggling art and craft, by finding creative ways to promote them and, hence, benefiting the art.
A space for all. Artists from any social background or creative discipline to be part of and contribute to the cause of the organisation.
